I was looking for a way to create a 3D paper display for my wall, and was trying to make something colourful that looked like it was popping out of the wall.

I'd seen similar in art galleries, so I had a play around with piles of coloured paper and ended up with a kind of 'explosion' or flower effect, which I think looks pretty cool :)

You will only need basic supplies of paper, scissors, a ruler, a craft knife and glue for this DIY, and at the end you'll have a piece of impressive papercraft! The idea is simply to stack pieces of paper together, and then cut through the layers in a particular way to create the 'petals'.
