Staghorn Cable Pattern

I cast on 20 stitches, as the cable itself is 16 stitches wide and I also wanted 2 columns of reverse stockinette (2 stitches wide) either side of the cable. If you want to remove the reverse stockinette at the edges, just cast on 16 stitches instead and remove 2 knit stitches from the beginning and end of each even-numbered row in the pattern below.

Pattern:

Row 1 (WS): Purl

Row 2 (RS): k6, C4B, C4F, k6

Row 3: Purl

Row 4: k4, C4B, k4, C4F, k4

Row 5: Purl

Row 6: k2, C4B, k8, C4F, k2

Where k = knit, C4B = a back cross cable worked over 4 stitches, C4F = a front cross cable worked over 4 stitches

I hope you enjoy knitting along!
