This lovely lace pattern is very much like the chevron lace pattern - but multiplied by 3! It's an 18 row repeat, so it's quite lengthy, but worth it in the end.

I'd say it's not recommended for complete beginners to lace knitting because the pattern contains long strings of stitches, which can be difficult to follow.

First you will need to cast on a multiple of 13 stitches.

Row 1: *k1, yo, ssk, k7, k2tog, yo, k1

Repeat from * until the end of the row.

Row 2 (and all other even rows): p

Row 3: *k2, yo, ssk, k5, k2tog, yo, k2

Repeat from * until the end of the row

Row 5: *k1, yo, ssk, yo, ssk, k3, k2tog, yo, k2tog, yo, k1

Repeat from * until the end of the row.

Row 7: *k2, yo, ssk, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, yo, k2

Repeat from * until the end of the row.

Row 9: *k1, yo, ssk, yo, ssk, yo, s2kpo, yo, k2tog, yo, k2tog, yo, k1

Repeat from * until the end of the row.

Row 11: *k2, yo, ssk, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, yo, k2

Repeat from * until the end of the row.

Row 13: *k3, yo, ssk, yo, s2kpo, yo, k2tog, yo, k3

Repeat from * until the end of the row.
